An absolute must read!

Josh and Me, How Hard Can it Be is a humorous, heartwarming book about friendship written by a good friend I have known for a quarter of a century, since he ran the special attention area, aka The Rubber Room, at my school. The stories are told in an anecdotal manner about the misadventures of Josh and EJ, the latter being the one telling the stories in the first person. My personal favorite is the George and Martha Washington story. Not only do I recommend reading this book, but also recommend promoting it to other people, like at your church. If you are looking for a book about friendship in today's world where everything seems to be going awry, this is the one.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a wonderful wholesome tale that will make you laugh out loud. Mr. O'Bryan spins an exciting story that makes you close your eyes and remember the innocence of youth. No matter where you come from, everyone can relate to a hometown like Jasperwitch and a best friend like Josh. You will laugh out loud and have a lump in your throat at the tear jerking ending. This is definitely a MUST READ!!!!

Fiona has a secret. One that drove her away from the only man for her. Jonah was devastated when Fiona left. And now she's back. At the worst possible time.

Action packed from page one. A tale of intrigue and second chances. Loved the story, the characters, and the feeling that practically jumps off the page.

I love the reality of life portrayed in this awesome series...Never assume what another might think, or do, it could have dire consequences to the rest of your life.

Fiona a falcon shifter broke up with her love, her soul mate years ago because she assumed he would not handle her secret the same way she wouldn't accept it. She broke his heart and hers too. Now after years she sees him and realizes that she would do anything for him and it may be the death of her.

Jonah Romanoff, Polar bear shifter thought he would be angry when he saw Fiona again after her betrayal so many years ago, but nothing could be further from the truth..He has his own secret and when he learns she is his new boss, he must at all costs keep it from her, but her falcon suspects there is something terribly wrong with his bear and Fiona will not not be detered. It could not only jeopardize his work, but his life too.

Fiona learns how terribly wrong it is to keep secrets.

worth the read

This book Is absolutely amazing I enjoyed the character development and the uniqueness that each brought to the story, if I most say my only problem with this book would be the brief action fight moments after the great build ups to it, other than that and some small type errors everything else was perfect, I hope this book becomes a series its far too good for only one or two books there's so many more of the other characters I'm dying to know about.

An Excellent Introduction to the Realities of English Language Learners

Do younger children learn language faster? Were our grandparents more receptive to learning English? Should English language learners start grades below their age? These and other issues are addressed in this excellent introductory text to the misconceptions of teaching English as a second language. By dissecting the accepted practices and underlying beliefs that have shaped ESL instruction for many students, the book attempts to bring to light facets of the controversy that have not yet been adequately examined. Using simple language and a very quick read format(this may be it's one drawback as more detailed research would be the next step)it is the perfect book for a study group in a school or an introductory college class. In a nation that is facing ever increasing numbers of immigrant and native born non-English speakers, this book is a good way to begin the dialogue on how to help schools realistically help children learn to be fluent in more than one language. It is definitely worth reading.

Worth every penny!

Giancoli Answers is worth every penny. To begin with, physics is not my strong point. My professor goes way too fast when he does example problems in class and has a very thick accent, so I'm at a loss when I go to do my homework or study for exams. The ability to see the problems being worked out with the option to pause, rewind and come back to the videos later has been the best learning tool.

Valuable resource book

I bought this book despite the comments made by the reader from S�O PAULO, and therefore had some hesitations in using it in my classrooms. However, I found the book to be incredibly informative and chock full of useful and practical ideas that can be easy implemented into the classroom. It is written in such a clear way that there's no need to have any in depth internet knoweledge at all. A god send for the likes of me. I would recommend this book withput hesitation to any teacher wanting to utilise the capabilities of using the internet in the classroom. I'm not sure what problems are friend in Brazil encountered, but I had no trouble at all. All of the pages listed in the book led to straight to the sites they were supposed to. I have already started an email exchange with another school. I'm not sure what problems are friend in Brazil encountered, but I had no trouble at all.

Gavin Dudeney's Internet book

Excellent book. The first pages (Guidelines) serve as the basis to understand what Internet is all about and how it can be used in ELT . It's got tips, hands-on sections and Website FAQs. They're a must for newbies like me. For us, EFL/ESl teachers, this book is an excellent resource to start our journey towards the integration of ICT into the language classroom. Wonderful activities, smartly organized by levels and themes.

Incredibly Outdated: Reads like some kind of obscure history book

As one might rightfully guess, given the rapid proliferation of websites and advancing technologies, this book is in dire need of an update. Judging from the content of the most recent edition, it was clearly written BEFORE the advent of WordPress, YouTube, and the whole app revolution! Think Netscape, Geocities, and Blogger.com, and you have this book. Plus a whole lot of dead links.

To be fair to the author, it's probably too much to ask for him to continually update the book when change happens so frequently and rapidly in the tech world. And yet, if you're going to write a book about it... maybe more general recommendations for implementing technology in the classroom is advisable. Granted, there are some activities in this book which surprisingly have withstood the tests of time, but there aren't nearly enough of them to justify paying the heavy cost of this book.

After reading the book in its entirety, I would say it is ideal for those teachers who are teaching in very remote corners of the world where resources are few and where computers are just being introduced to the society--like those cyber villages that have sprung up as of late. There are some very, VERY basic lesson plans here on how to use web browsers and conduct searches (albeit using Yahoo!) which may--MAY--prove useful to students who have never been exposed to this sort of thing (although I'm inclined to say that within a few years' time, one will be hard-pressed to find such a student, at least on this planet). If you aren't one of these teachers in the year of 2014, then save yourself the trip down memory lane.

It's free. Too bad the author didn't include the bombing images of Coventry, or London. The first long range bombing was done by the Central Powers led by Germany in World War One.
Good images of the results of the Allies bombing during WW 2. Keep mind that Germany also did.long bombings.
